A MARATHON OF HER OWN

Here I am in of my favorite spots--at a fireplace with a dog and some notebooks, and 'm writing to ask for your pledge in support for my participation in the Blazing Laptops marathon for San Diego Writers' Ink.

On April 26 a bunch of us with gather at a local coffee house to spend an entire day in writing. This is just my kind of marathon... all these years of watching the rest of you do real marathons--now I get one of my own.  

I've never asked for a pledge before, but SDWI is a worthy local organization. I've been participating in classes at SDWI since 2018, but I've recently upped my game as I've been finishing my book, The Madwoman of Sarajevo.  (You know--the one I've been working on for twenty years?)  Thanks to the help I've recieved at SDWI i just completed my first draft. (It needs work, but hey...) 

I appreciate the writing community and support that SDWI gives to so many writers of various ages, genres, and positions--while emphasizing creativity and positivity in our unusual world. I'm especially enjoyig the Thursday Night Writers' Group and I'm on that team. 

I hope you will agree to "support" my sedentary marathon with a small pledge. I can offer the following incentives to you, my friends, as a reward.

A $5 pledge means I will buy you a cup of coffee next time we are together

$10 gets you to "Name that Prompt." Every hour contains a new prompt. If you choose to support me at this level, you can name a prompt. ANYTHING. And if you want, I'll send you what I write. 

$25 gets you a naming opportunity for a character in my book

$1000 gets you released from ever having to listen to me talk about my book ever again

$10,000 gets me to stop writing altogether.
